Have you worked as a Backend Developer on customised solutions? Do you have a passion for elevating and maintaining back-end services? Are you curious about what the iGaming industry can offer? You will be part of developing value-generating features to provide the greatest iGaming experience possible! The retention team is responsible for facilitating the organisation with an in-house developed toolbox to supply, enhance and elevate the organisation's capabilities within our omnichannel approach to player communication. We always strive for excellence in our communication capabilities, which includes all types of transactions ranging from registration, verification, bonus & offer send-outs, and live-session communications - with a large portion of innovation.



YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
? Build scalable, robust and efficient solutions in our full-stack team and ensure their everlasting delivery in our microservice architecture.
? Be involved in technical discussions to challenge, propose, and evaluate, and take a guiding and supportive approach to business needs.
? Driving your own initiatives with a high-quality mindset
? You will work within the full chain of development, having end-to-end responsibilities
? Collaborative work across the organisation with multiple stakeholders
? Making sure our IT ecology is scalable and ready for upcoming expansions


OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
? Minimum of 3+ years experience of working as a back-end developer
? Experience with messaging tools (i.e. Kafka)
? Experience with microservice architecture
? You have experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA
? My relational databases are not something new for you.


NICE TO HAVES
? Experience with OpenAPI
? Experience with BigQuery

Qualifications
Who are we looking for
We're looking for a junior software engineer, that either is graduating from university/higher vocational education or has one or two years of experience in Java and backend system development and thrives in an atmosphere where learning new technologies is key.
We’d love to hear from you if:
You have interest in common Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA
You’re interested in working with relational databases such as My.
You have an interest in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems and are familiar with microservice architectures.
Bonus points if you have used (but by no means necessary) Kotlin, Akka, Hazelcast, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Consul, Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.

What you will do:
Engineering Effectiveness (EE) is what might be called Developer Tools, Developer Productivity, Engineering Infrastructure, or Developer Efficiency. We provide the tools and processes that allow the rest of our engineers to do their job, focusing on the things that are used by most of our engineers.
We have created centralised teams with the mission of helping our development teams to deliver quickly and at the same time scale to a great number of users and enabling our customer- and employee growth. The centralised teams act as force multipliers by turning specialised knowledge into reusable building blocks. Empowered with these tools in hand, development/domain teams can focus on solving problems within their specific product domain.
The work of the EE team is enabling LeoVegas to handle approximately 1,300,000,000 transactions a month, peak load at around 100 000 transactions per minute and 10,000 concurrent user

Who are we looking for?:
5 years of experience plus with common Java frameworks such as Spring or JavaEE
Experience with relational databases such as My
Experience in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems and good knowledge with microservice architectures
An open mind and willingness to learn
Ability and interest to coach colleagues in best practices and system design
It would be advantageous (but not necessary) if you have experience in Automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible, Google Cloud Platform, Elasticsearch, NodeJS, Kafka, BigQuery or DataDog
